Alcohol and Complex Functioning

Integrative complexity and metacomplexity theorists have considered the impact of various environmental and physiological events on the capacity to differentiate and integrate information and the capacity to translate these cognitive processes into task performance. Among the key performance indicators employed by complexity, theories are the breadth of approach toward handling extant problems (differentiation), various levels of planning and strategic functioning (integration), and the use of creative initiative.
